I'm Curious.....

I have a question for those read my blog---  Even though many of keep trying new mediums, or work with a variety of mediums, there always seems to be one that we go back to.  For me, it's beads.  I always seem to go back to basic glass beads when I go back to making jewelry.  There's just something about them that I find completely alluring.

So, what is your favorite thing that you keep going back to, even though there are times when you swear you never will again?

  1. Only thing I can work with is wood. I thought about trying to do jewelry, but I don't have the sense of style to do it.

  2. I just can't seem to go very long without amassing a pile of beads for a free form peyote piece of some kind or another. They are very time consuming and take a while to sell as they are so very expensive. I keep telling myself that I don't need to make another and then I'll see a bead in a particular color and won't be able to resist collecting others that seem to have a special harmony to them as a group. From there, the project just takes on a life of its own.

  4. Shelley, that is JUST what happens with me with bigger glass beads. My DH says that it's one of my only addictions he never wants me to break. LOL.

  5. Beads are always the one thing I can't resist returning to no matter what my latest obsession is at the moment.

  6. Teri, Yes I know, but I'm talking about making actual necklaces/bracelets etc. I'm planning on making beads once I get better used to the lathe..
